10 Boxes. 6 States. 1 Canada. (The Day This Brand Became a Business.)

10 Boxes. 6 States. 1 Canada. (The Day This Brand Became a Business.)

Yesterday I dropped 10 boxes at the Surprise,
Arizona post office.

Six of them were going to women in different US
states. One was going to Canada. Every single one
was packed, pressed, and signed by hand — in the
garage where I run Shirt Happens by Jenny.

It wasn't supposed to be a "moment." It was
supposed to be Tuesday.

But it WAS a moment. Because for the first time,
this brand stopped being a project and started
being a business.

WHY THESE 10 BOXES MATTERED

Most weren't for friends. Most weren't even for
paying customers (yet). They were for women I'd
cold-DMed over the past 10 days — small Western
creators with under 25,000 followers each — and
asked: "Hey, can I send you a shirt? No strings."

71% said yes.

Mandy in Wyoming. Kimberly at R Cinco Ranch in
Texas. Sarah Mason in Oklahoma. Jolyn — a stand-up
comedian who lives on a California ranch. Jane, a
Canadian brand owner whose customs declaration I
filled out at the USPS counter at 11 AM yesterday.

Plus two paying customers:
- Krista in Arizona — my first real paying
customer who didn't know me from anywhere
- Brittany who's now bought from me FIVE TIMES

And one giveaway gift to Carolyn, just to say
thank you.

10 boxes. 6 states. 1 Canada. 1 garage.

WHAT'S ACTUALLY INSIDE EACH BOX

Every Refuse to Fade Club tee that ships from me
looks like this:

• A Comfort Colors 1717 shirt — garment-dyed,
heavyweight cotton (not a cheap blank)
• Hand-pressed in my garage with DTF transfers
  I've personally vetted
• Folded with care, wrapped in tissue, sealed
  with a dried rosebud
• A handwritten note. To you. With your name.
• A wash care card so the design lasts
• All in a premium kraft mailer

I do all of it. By hand. From a garage in
Surprise, AZ.

I'm 57. I'm doing this with my actual hands.

THE CHAPTER WHERE I STOPPED SHRINKING

I built this brand because I was tired of being
the version of me everyone else expected.

The version that aged quietly. The version that
said "I'm too old for that." The version that
handed her dreams off to her grandkids like a
baton.

"Refuse to Fade" started as a tagline.

Now it's something women in 6 states are putting
on this week.

That's the chapter I'm in.

WHERE THIS GOES NEXT

This week:
• Customer reactions arrive — texts, DMs, and
  (hopefully) review photos
• Two more Wave 2 boxes ship to Nebraska, plus
  a jewelry collab partner
• I'll be filming raw, no-filter content from
this exact garage every single day

Next month:
• A new design pair drops: "Hold My Reins" +
"Born to Ride" — Cowgirl Chapter Vol. II
• An America 250 limited tank for July 4
• "Long Live Cowgirls Who Refuse to Fade" —
  our evergreen anthem tee

If you want to be part of it, the whole shop is
at shirthappensbyjenny.com.

Come find me on Instagram at
@shirthappensbyjennyofficial. I post my face.
I post my husband. I post the garage. I post
the truth.

ONE MORE THING

To the 10 women whose boxes are in transit right
now — Krista, Brittany, Mandy, Kim, Sarah, Jolyn,
Jane, Carolyn, Pooja, and Melanie:

Thank you for being the first.

Whatever you do with your shirt — wear it,
photograph it, tuck it into your closet, send a
friend the link — you're now part of the Refuse
to Fade Club.

The chapter has officially started.
