What Actually Goes Into a Hand-Pressed Tee (And Why It Matters)

What Actually Goes Into a Hand-Pressed Tee (And Why It Matters)
I want to tell you what happens between the moment you click "order" and the moment your shirt shows up in the mail.

**Step 1: The Order Notification**

I get a ping on my phone. It tells me which Member Edition you ordered, what size, and where you're shipping it. I see your first name.

**Step 2: The Blanks**

I keep Comfort Colors 1717 heavyweight tees in inventory โ€” sandstone cream, blue jean, pepper black, sage. Garment-dyed. The kind of weight where you can feel the cotton when you pick it up.

I pull your size off the shelf. If your design is on cream, I grab cream. If it's on black, I grab black.

**Step 3: The Press**

I cut my film transfer for your specific design. I weed every extra piece off it by hand. I align it on the chest โ€” straight, centered, sized right for your body.

Then the press comes down. 320 degrees, 7 seconds, firm pressure. Heat. Hold. Lift.

Peel the film. Press again to seal. Watch the ink set into the cotton weave.

**Step 4: The Cool-Down**

I fold your shirt flat. I write a thank-you note. I add a tiny note about how to wash it so the print lasts.

**Step 5: The Mailer**

Kraft envelope, sticker on the front. Your name and address. A tiny Refuse to Fade Club stamp on the outside.

Out the door it goes.

**Why this matters.**

When you buy something made in a factory, you're trading the human touch for speed and scale. That's a fine trade โ€” sometimes you want the cheap thing fast.

But when you buy a Refuse to Fade Club Member Edition, you're getting something a real woman pressed for you. In her actual home. While probably listening to a podcast. Possibly with a cat walking across her workspace.

It takes longer. It costs the same (or less) than a comparable boutique tee. But every shirt has my hands on it.

That's the deal. That's the whole brand.
